PATTERN DESCRIPTION This listing is for a PATTERN, not the finished product *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* I just LOVE red, white and blue. Any time I get a chance to use it, I use it. Add to that love, my love of granny squares and making baby gifts, this was a certain outcome for me . . . a red, white and blue baby afghan. . . no pastel baby items for me. This is a photo tutorial pattern. I know that some people are visual learners, while some do better with the written word, so I have combined them on the pattern. LOTS of pictures to help those visual learners to go with the written pattern. Since this is made with granny squares, it can easily be made into a larger sized blanket. A friends made it to fit a full sized bed for an auction at her local veterans organization. That made me happy. I always like to give babies a handmade gift . . . AND . . . I like to wrap their gifts up in receiving blankets. This is a combination of the two . . . a receiving blanket with a handmade edging. Now, receiving blankets aren't the only place this edging could be used. I can see it on sheets, pillowcases, table cloths, runners, etc, etc, etc. The edging is attached to the blanket with a crocheted foundation round . . not the normal button hole stitch. This makes it easier for crocheters . . . now they don't need to learn the buttonhole stitch for edgings. You are buying a PATTERN, not the finished product ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ 100% of the purchase price for the pattern goes to a no-kill maternity shelter in Western New York or a no-kill animal shelter in Indiana.
