I was working on this design on my birthday this year, and my mom pointed out that I turned 36 on 3-6. I thought that was pretty special, and would be a nifty name for my latest shawl! 36 on 3-6 is a top down crocheted shawl, a cross between a true triangle or a true half circle shape, and shaped at the top so the shawl will stay put on your shoulders. If you prefer, you can block this shawl to be more of a traditional triangle shape. You can use any yarn, any weight, & any gauge that makes you happy! Shawl in the bright sunflower orange photos was made using exactly 2 skeins of Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece yarn, & measures 25" deep by 52" across. Gauge: 3 dc=1". After first 4 rows of pattern, shawl measures 5.75" across & 3" deep. Gauge doesn't matter Want to try before you buy? Please visit & check out my free patterns. On Ravelry? My name is Anastacia, and I am the scrap yarn/one skein queen. I buy my yarn mainly at yard sales/thrift stores, so I got used to making do with what I could find. So most of my patterns are designed to use up the odd skeins or leftovers in your life, and are geared towards beginner crocheters or those who just want a fast, easy, but still pretty item. I'm a 30 something adult living in MA. I’m married, have a wonderful cat named Wedgie, & I work full time. I also teach knitting & crocheting at my local Michael's & squeeze in designing as many hours as I can a week. I do love to hear from everyone, but please remember that I am busy, just like you, & will reply as soon as I can. All of my patterns use USA terms & abbreviations. I try to layout my patterns as simply as possible to save money for people printing at home. My patterns are as short as possible, usually with only one photo on the first page, which you can easily skip printing to save ink. .
