PATTERN DETAILS

Silverlace Blanket: Make the ultimate in fine lace for your child! Lace square motifs are worked in white sport weight yarn for the featured blanket; it will look equally stunning in colors of your choice. Rows of scallop edging add both style and depth, letting the piece drape beautifully any way it is worn. Trim it with soft green satin ribbon and matching ladybug accents, for a sweet spring touch. IMAGINE THIS: Use the popcorn edging of the Tropicana Blanket for added texture. Opt for wool or mohair yarn to make a blanket suitable for colder weather. You can even add metallic or silvery threads to make this blanket the perfect holiday gift! Tropicana Blanket: Welcome the summer with the coolest beach blanket ever! Each lace square motif is worked in layers of soothing color, and joined to contrasting motifs for visual interest. Watch the central flower pop out of each motif! Made with worsted-weight yarn and a size H/8 (5 mm) hook, the blanket is soft and comfortable yet sturdy enough for beach and outdoor use. Sure to be a summer favorite, it is finished with a lively popcorn border to protect the edges from fraying! I am a published knitwear and crochet designer, specializing in children’s clothing. I love coming up with designs that are new and different, and I find inspiration in everything and everyone around me … my family, children, imagination, yarn, textures, nature … In the past several years, I’ve created and sold hundreds of custom-made (mostly one of a kind) items online. However, one day I realized that I have too much on my plate and couldn’t keep up with all orders anymore. I thought if I started writing patterns, I could make something just once and let other knitters and crocheters make the garments by themselves, and even sell finished projects made from my patterns. I really feel that it was the right direction to take, and I’ve been so blessed by this experience. Somebody else making something out of what I’ve created—that’s what makes me happiest! I hope that you will enjoy working with my patterns as much as I have enjoyed designing and writing them for you. Please visit MyLittleCityGirl.com to learn more about me and my designs, and locate stores where my patterns are sold.
