Tomato Butter & Onion Sauce

Project Description

Share a little about the ingredients and techniques used to create this dish/item. I used Giuliano Hazan's family recipe. I doubled the ingredients and kept it at a bare simmer for almost four hours. It probably would have been done a little earlier, but I decided to add some Sangiovese (perhaps a half cup) after about two hours so that additional liquid had to reduce.
