Strawberry pie with lattice crust

Share a little about the ingredients and techniques used to create this dish/item. i confess i used canned strawberry pie filling. I wanted to practice the lattice crust. I made the crust with pastry flour, so it was quite fragile. As in class, i assembled it on parchment paper, then freezing it a bit before trying to transfer it to the pie. Worked beautifully!

Please share your recipe for the filling. I have not found one yet that the strawberries do not liquefy in the pie during baking.

Apologies, it was a cheater pie. I was mostly interested in getting the crust to "work" and I used canned pie filling. For fresh fruit, I use instant clear jel to make it nice consistency.
