The cake was delicious. I brought it to a Christmas party and it got rave reviews! What advice would you give someone starting this project? Use a 9" springform, not an 8". My first attempt was a failure. I baked it until it was NOT gooey in the middle. I used Alice's melting chocolate in the bowl in a fry pan method. Excellent!! Will use this method from now on. Melting the white chocolate presented challenges. I used shortening as Alice suggested (I used palm shortening). It worked like a charm.
