They are my very favorite cookie to make over the holidays. The fresh ground cardamom really shines and the cookies have the perfect chewy texture! Use cardamom that's still in the pod. Crack the pods to remove the seeds yourself and grind them in a spice grinder. The flavor will be much more potent with freshly ground cardamom!
