This recipe makes a LOT of cookies. It can be used for very small houses that you plan to eat right away, but the cookies are too soft for larger structures. The dough can be refrigerated for several days or frozen for up to a month. In the past I have had good results when I cut the recipe in half even though I've used a whole egg rather than half an egg. I prefer lining the cookie sheets with with parchment paper to greasing them. The cookies seem to come out more evenly baked. I used a simple Royal Icing, M&Ms, & other small candies for decorating the cookies.
