Yo Gabba Gabba!

Do you sell this cake? No, just for fun Share a little about the materials, processes, and techniques used to create this cake My grand daughter was having her 1st birthday, & I was asked to make her cake (AND 'smash cake'). I've never done any type of cake decorating, but wanted to make something special with her favorite characters from Yo Gabba Gabba (Ya, I'd never heard of them either! LOL) Nor had I worked w/fondant, and never heard of gum paste. I purchased your Cake Toppers w/Anne Heap and was amazed at what I learned!! All I had was a picture (and video of the show) to go by. Using Anne's techniques, I was able to create 'a masterpiece' ~ sort of! LOL After sculpting the 'characters', I made a base cake. Didn't have a clue how to make a 'removable' smash cake, so I improvised and used a tortilla pan with a handle and put it on top. I frosted the entire cakes, placed the pan on the first layer, and put the characters all around it, with "Yo, Chelsea is One" in fondant letters around the base cake. Attached is the end result. Thanks, Anne, for a GREAT class!!!
