Do you sell this cake? Yes Share a little about the materials, processes, and techniques used to create this cake Square cake pans 8, 10, 12, 14 inch. Chocolate ganache drizzle, icing, piping bag with round tip, chocolate covered strawberries. The cake tiers are chocolate and vanilla with half filled with strawberry jam & strawberry slices. What are you most proud of? It tasted absolutely delish!! I had left over cake to make my own mini cake......yummmm!! What advice would you give someone starting this project? make your ganache thin enough to pour. If I would've poured less on top I think the drip effect would've looked better.

I received this cake image as part of a group of updates from members I follow. I'm glad I checked it out. You mention that you wished the ganache hadn't dripped down the sides, that's the part that caught my attention. Here I was wondering how you got it to do it so perfectly without it covering too much cake not realizing at first that it was an accident. It definitely looks planned and intentional. It's hard to get dripping like this just right. The chocolate can neither be too thin or too thick. It's what sets it apart. This wouldn't be my first choice as a wedding cake but everyone is different. However, I can think of numerous other events this would be PERFECT for. Definitely women, chocoholics and teenagers would both love this cake and I can't see anyone actually not liking it.

Actually the dripping down the sides was intentional, i just didnt like how much it dripped, i was hoping for more of a delicate look. (sorry i'll have to edit my post). I poured the warm ganache in the center, top of each cake then pushed it around & over the edges where i wanted it to drip down. You can see in the top tier it looks more like stripes and i didnt care for the look. Also i didnt care for the way some of the top edges looked thick & chunky. The results vary if the cake is cold vs room temp. as well as the temp of your ganache. I hope i helped you.
