I've made flag cakes before but not all of them have turned out well, and this one held together really nicely. There is a third layer of plain white under the flag layer. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Don't overdo it. I really had to hold myself back from adding more stars or other details. But in this case, clean and simple was the way to go.
