Turtle Cupcake

Do you sell this cake? No, just for fun Share a little about the materials, processes, and techniques used to create this cake After baking some vanilla cupcakes I hollowed the center and placed homemade apple butter inside as a filler. I covered the top with chocolate rocks that sit on a bed of colored buttercream. I used a silicone mold to shape a buttercream turtle then piped buttercream grass. What are you most proud of? Looks cute. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Buttercream can be a challenge to work with. I wanted to see how it worked with a silicone mold. In order for this to work I needed to visit the freezer part of my refrigerator often so as to keep the buttercream semi-hard as I molded and placed it on the cupcake. The end product needs to be kept refrigerated until served otherwise the details of the buttercream will be lost.
