Totally Lace! Wedding cake.

I like the lace embossed flowers on top of th cake - you don't see the detail until close-up. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Have the confidence to make your own moulds / molds using Silicone Plastique. Follow Joshua's instructions in this class, or those by Chef Dominic on his website http://www.makeyourownmolds.com/how-to-make-molds or Youtube. Next time I would have a go at only using my own moulds to ensure a level of individuality and uniqueness.

Behind the lace applique? I think it made by patchwork cutters and it is the 'tiny quilt' or 'tiny quilter'. Its about 2 1/2 inches by 3" big so you have to keep lining it up to get the repeat pattern. I did ask Rachael Tuefel on Craftsy if she could suggest an alternative and she said to go to your local DIY store and look for a ceiling light diffuser -the plastic sheets which go over office ceiling lights. I havent found one yet in the uk but i do know what she means. They are much bigger so the repeat is easier. Apparently this is what Ron Ben Israel uses,
