Share a little about the materials, processes, and techniques used to create this cake Chocolate Cake, Orange Creamcheese Pound Cake, Lemon Curd, Decorator's frosting, white chocolate Fondant, regular Fondant (all Hand made), Americolour Liquid AirBrush colours, Wilton Colours, Lindt Chocolates, styrofoam base, adhesive plastic covering, disposable foam plate, drinking straws, plastic dowelling, various plastic bits What are you most proud of? Creating a 24" high work of art in Cake - on-site - that not only looked phenomenal, but tasted fantastic too (all 12 layers!!)!! What advice would you give someone starting this project? This is a very complex project requiring many consecutive days of work - schedule wisely! Do a dry run of how the layers will all fit together with the screw-together centre post of the support structure. Be sure all your dowels are 100% perpendicular. Use a cake with good firm structure. And lastly - make sure you have lots of cake eaters - or lots of freezer space LOL!
