Family Recipe Share a little about the materials, processes, and techniques used to create this cake I know this isn't a handbag, but I used all of the tips and processes in this class to construct this Tangled Cake! It was carved from stacked 6" cakes filled with buttercream. I used fondarific sugarpaste to cover the cake and beau flower paste for the roof, tiles and small decorations. I was in a rush and ran out of cake for the top section so this is a polystyrene dummy inside! What are you most proud of? The walls and roof of the tower! What advice would you give someone starting this project? Use fondarific to give you extra working time and create great impressions which don't crack when they're bent round the cake. I think you can also add glycerine to standard sugarpaste to achieve the same result as fondarific isn't easily available in the UK.
