Share a little about the materials, processes, and techniques used to create this cake Sugar paste, petal dust, sugar glue floral wire and tape. What are you most proud of? I am most proud of the colouring i achieved and also the fairly realistic look. The project is not perfect but I feel it is a great starting point and the flowers will only improved with repetition. What advice would you give someone starting this project? I am a big fan of 'Mise en Place' it is really more of a cooking term, but it refers to everything in its place. In other words organisation, organisation, organisation. Get all the tools you will need, have them placed out so that all of your moves are efficient and you don't have to waste time looking for things. This also really allows you to concentrate on what you are doing. I also watched and re-watched the video so that the movements and techniques were more natural to me. Just have fun and play, after all it's just sugar and your imagination!
