He's not a bobble head but most of the structure is from Mikes Bobbleheads tutorial. Santas body is made from rice cereal and modeling chocolate. His head is a foam ball covered in gumpaste and modeling chocolate. Santa's holding a birthday cake, actual cake. I made this for fun and decoration, and it did last through out the holiday.

Q&A with Sweetmilk4u

Garden Baker asked:
Impressive! But how did you make Santa's arms strong enough to hold a real cake? I don't see any supports for that in your construction.
Sweetmilk4u answered:
Hi Garden Baker, Santa's arm supports are made of copper and attached to the center support. Just like the tutorial, I glued the copper in place. I used a smaller floral wire for his hands and that is secured to the cake board. Worked like a charm! Thanks for asking.
miocorrea16447977 asked:
Where can I purchase these kind of wires and stuff to build a standing up cake?
Sweetmilk4u answered:
I purchased all supplies for the structure from a hardware store. The center post is called all thread , it has to be cut to length. Hope this helps.
