Share a little about the materials, processes, and techniques used to create this cake Vanilla sponge, jam, buttercream, sugarpaste What are you most proud of? The whole thing. It has the sea bed and sand, the pineapple house and the Easter Island head. It moves up to the sandy top with a really good Spongebob on the top. Before this I didn't know anything about Spongebob and I am really proud of the way the cake captures his world. It tasted great too! What advice would you give someone starting this project? Have all the characters made in advance ready to attach to the cake once it's assembled. Assemble the cake in the same way as a normal tiered cake using dowels, make sure you give the sugarpaste covering time to dry otherwise it's difficult to handle without damaging it. Be prepared to make a mess especially when it comes to the 'spattering' on the sea bed!
