How do you make it so real like- brand new shoe shine? It's amazing!

thank you so much Angie. I steam all my cakes when I am done so they all have that natural shine on it. On this one in particular, I steamed a couple of times so the shine would stay a little longer.

Sorry about my naivety, i didn't know one could steam cakes. Might I ask how?

absolutely! feel free to ask away! We use steam for various reasons: to clean all the sugar on the cake, to better glue all the details better and to make the colors and details pop a bit more. the difference is night and day when you steam a cake. But, be careful! If you hand painted your cake, the color will run and destroy your cake.
