Project

Princess Cake

Project Description

Share a little about the materials, processes, and techniques used to create this cake Dolly Varden Cake Tin, Coloured Pettinice, Butter icing, Chocolate cake, Doll, Royal icing. What are you most proud of? That she looked good a far as I could tell and my niece loved it. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Colour your icing the the day before and make flowers. They need to be dry and any extra can be used to decorate cup cakes etc. You don't have to use a special tin but it helps, a pudding basin would work as well though you may need to buil up a little in the middle. Check dolls legs will come off and go back on. The very commercial doll starting with B I have been told her legs don't go back on but have not tried. Just take your time dressing her in icing and have a picture or doll to look at to see how pieces fit on the body.

What you will need

this designs was orginally made here, this is just a copy cat. http://imtopsyturvy.com/princess-rapunzel-cake-tutorial/
Tuppence58 answered:
I am not sure what you are getting at, I just went to the site you are speaking about today and she is a great cake decorater. I have been icing cakes for about 30 years and do my own thing, This is the first time I have put a cake on the internet and sad to find a comment like this if you think I copied it. In saying that I liked what I saw today and have learned some new techniques because as they say you can learn something every day!! By the way I live in New Zealand.
