I am a Senior 66 years old, Imget very depressed, so I decided to make sugar flowers, and maybe, cupcakes, so I am very exited, it is not for business, I had a Flower shop for 18 years in Guatemala, my native country, before coming to Canada, it is very different here, few flowers and very expensive, so I am going to try, I can't have the real ones, I will go for sugar ones! Gilda, I suffered from depression too and started baking to distract myself when everyone went out on friday nights, and got to the point that I didn't mind being left alone because I coud concentrate and do a better cake everytime. So do what you enjoy and depression will disapear as it left me, Blessings

Hi, Nydia how are you? Thank you for your support, and kind words, I am going to try and do some sugar Flowers, and toppings for Cupkakes or cakes, I have many nice molds for lace and flowers! How thick does the buttercream or Royal icing have to be? Big Hug and Blessings for you and family!

Hi Gilda, Honestly I don't think I'll be much help on pipping Buttercream flowers because I'm still having trouble with my flowers loosing their shape. About Royal Icing I have never used it, I just bought my first box and haven't tryed it yet. For the last cake I made the Buttercream thicker but my flowers still didn't hold their shape. I'm a beginer who has never gone to Baking School, I have self-tought myself and still need to learn ALOT, hopefully someone with more experience could share some advice for both of us.
