Fascination asked:
Beautiful! the colors are gorgeous; the combination of colors is stunning; I love the look of different patterns per tier. GREAT WORK; how does one go about getting the instructions for this?
Arte en Pastel answered:
The bottom tier was what is called marbelized fondant. This is when you mix two colors of fondant but you do not blend them completely. The pearls and the broches were done using the Wilton Fondant and Gum Paste Barroque Silicon mold- The pearls were dusted with pearl dust and the broches were painted with gold highlighter. The second tier I cut diamonds in different colors and pasted them in arlequin style. Because I did not like the way the joinings looked like, I used the little " commas" that are on the same silicon mold to cover the joints. Then I painted in gold. The third tier was hand painted and the mask and flowers were apliqus . The scrolls were airbrushed using a comercial stencil, the Scroll Stencil Set from Designer Stencils. The mask was done using pastillage under a mold that I found in a crafts store . The veil is sugarveil and the flowers are handmade using gumpaste.
