Share a little about the materials, processes, and techniques used to create this cake Chocolate cake with buttercream and fondant What are you most proud of? I haven't made many cakes in the shape of an object, as opposed to a round or square cake, so I'm fairly happy with how the shape of this cake turned out. What advice would you give someone starting this project? I used store bought fondant as I've been told its really difficult to make homemade red and black, but I've since learned you can make it, you just add the colouring while you are making the fondant rather than afterwards. I haven't tried this but I will definitely do so next time as It would cut down the cost considerably, and also I get much smoother and nicer tasting results with home made fondant.
