The scrolls are made of pastillage which was rolled out, cut into strips and then formed into the scrolls by following a template that I designed. The scrolls were then adhered to the cake with royal icing. The ribbon on each layer is fabric ribbon, although it could be painted fondant if desired. What are you most proud of? How you can make an elegant cake with some fairly simple extensions and embellishments. I love the colors and the simple elegance.
