I use my Kitchen Aid pasta attachment to roll out the gumpaste super thin for the cutter. What are you most proud of? A picture of this cake was sent via text message and someone actually thought it was a real chocolate bar!! What advice would you give someone starting this project? Prepare your gumpaste ahead of time - be familiar with it and the Cricut cutter. Don't wait to practice - the Cricut Cutter can and will be finicky! As you can see - the cutter will cut awesome detail if you have the right gumpaste! NOTE: even though I've worked with my cutter & gumpaste many times i still had to re-cut the starburst multiple times until I finally just changed the font style. When you know it should be cutting good & it doesn't - try another tactic!! Freezing the rolled sheet of gumpaste is sometimes a must - especially for detail cuts. This can all be done days ahead if needed. Buy the extra large zip bags and the 12" x 12" cutting mats fit right in them. I've heard of people flipping the design to get a more clean cut but I've never done it myself ( i always forget that feature).
