Share a little about the materials, processes, and techniques used to create this cake The cupcakes are red velvet with cream cheese butter cream. I covered the cupcakes with fondant. The people are hand sculpted fondant, with fondant and royal icing webs. The spiders are poured isomalt sugar. What are you most proud of? The sugar spiders by far. I had never done them, and took a lot of practice, but I think they turned out great. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Start early and plan things out. I had to use a cupcake to measure the people and the spiders. They all took more time than I thought. Also the heads were hard since they were so small. I had to do them in stages to let things dry.
