Golf Ball Cake

Share a little about the materials, processes, and techniques used to create this cake I made this for my dad's 60th birthday party. He loved it! I loved the argyle pattern on the bottom layer. I'd never covered a ball in fondant before and have learned since then how important it is to take your time and SLOWLY stretch the fondant out to prevent any big folds.Thankfully, golf balls are full of dimples which helped disguise a lot of the imperfections
