Golden peacock

Project Description

Do you sell this cake? No, just for fun Share a little about the materials, processes, and techniques used to create this cake This was my first project after taking the Isomalt class. I melted regular sugar using distilled water and cream of tarter. The sugar turned a lovely golden amber. I saved most of the sugar to use later but I decided to make one piece of pulled sugar. I made a peacock using separate pieces of sugar for the head, body and tail. I planned to add a crest, but the piece was broken when I showed it to a friend. The crest will wait until the next piece and I still had fun and have pictures.
