Q&A with RoseannAtkins

Lovecakes52 asked:
This is absolute STUNNING!!! Beautiful!!! May I ask what peony cutters you used & color dust? Thanks
RoseannAtkins answered:
I did not use actual peony cutters. I used a regular round cutters; smaller in the center and larger for the outer petals. 3 sizes in total. The small petals in the center were attached to the center and the larger petals were on wires and dried for 24 hours before attaching. I used a little bit of green petal dust for the center and some pink for the petals (Wilton brand). I dusted the whole flower in Crystal Colors Antique Gold dust. The edges were painted with 24k gold dust mixed with lemon extract. I learned to make this peony in private lessons I took with the very talented Amy DeGuilio of Sugar Flower Cake Shop in NYC.
