Do you sell this cake? No, just for fun Share a little about the materials, processes, and techniques used to create this cake My daughter wanted a fondant fancy cake for her wedding. The cake was a 6" square madeira cake with lemon flavouring, sandwiched with lemon curd topped with a 4" hemisphere of madeira cake. Unfortunately the two layers did not match perfectly so there was a slight ripple visible in the sides. I used a layer of white marzipan between the cake and the fondant icing and then piped pink icing diagonally across the cake in contrast with the normal small pink fondant fancies with white icing. The cake was placed on a 7" board on top of the tiered stand, but was lifted down for the bride and groom to cut the cake. I could not have done this without the excellent class from Elisa - thank you so much!
