What was your inspiration? This particular cake is not one that is taught in the class, but I wanted to make a German Chocolate and use information from the class. After watching the "Decadent Chocolate" classes, I took information on how the cake itself was made and used that while baking. I've never had a "from scratch" cake turn out so moist! It was awesome and the info in the class is phenomenal! I went with chocolate curls rather than fans (fans taught in the course) and had a lot of fun making this simple but beautiful cake.
