Share a little about the materials, processes, and techniques used to create this cake Fresh Carrot cake with cream cheese icing, Italian buttercream and fondant. Fondant tools, cake turn table, pasta machine, fondant roller, etc... What are you most proud of? Being able to take this style and have fun with it. I know its not exactly like Maggie Austin's and I am totally okay with that. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Make sure you give your frills the proper drying time. However, I did find it very helpful that if one of my frills was not supported enough, to use a little bit of white chocolate as a glue to hold it in place. Also. to create the deep frills actually pleated the fondant as I was applying it to the cake. Working in small pieces was a huge help as well. From start to finish this 6 & 8 tier took me 3.5 hours to complete.
