Dr Seuss inspired wedding cake

Do you sell this cake? Yes Name of website or online shop Bite Me Bakery Link to website or online shop www.bitemebakery.co.uk Share a little about the materials, processes, and techniques used to create this cake Design background: This cake was designed and created for a styled wedding photoshoot - Jessica Rabbit married Cat In The Hat. Inspiration: Artwork of Dr Seuss books. I wanted the cake to have a stylised, 2D feel to it. It had to be, of course, red, black and white. It also had to be sassy, sexy and something which Jessica might choose whilst looking like a wedding cake. Techniques: The cake was hand painted using cocoa butter (melted) and edible dust colours. The sugar flowers were made in the standard was but then a hand painted (edges, details, shading) to give them a stark 2D feel. Sorry - photos haven't come out well here, for some strange reason. Better quality on my website if you would like to have a look.

Kate Sullivan asked:
Hello Samantha! I love this cake and the cake-pops!! I just looked at your website and its all gorgeous! I particularly love the fairground wedding cake---I'm such a fan of 2D outlined and animated looking painted work. Thanks for taking the class, it looks like you could have taught it, and I'd be interested in seeing that class! All the Best, Kate
