Share a little about the materials, processes, and techniques used to create this cake I baked two 1/2 sheet cakes, leveled each cake and then layered with butter cream. I sculpted the cross before applying the crumb coat. I applied the crumb coat, then final smooth layer of butter cream. I piped borders around bottom edge and top edge. I applied pearls in the borders and up the inside corners of the cake. I made a cross out of pink fondant and applied pink pearls to the outside edges. I made pink roses out of gum paste (rosebuds had green stems). I made daisies out of royal icing and put pink pearls in the center. I made pansies out of royal icing. I placed the flowers by adding dots of butter cream.
