No, just for fun Share a little about the materials, processes, and techniques used to create this cake I am fairly new at sculpted cakes however I had a great time working this project! The cake is a four layer white cake with raspberry filling. I used Elisa's swiss meringue buttercream recipe to cover the cake and make the dams before fondant. I didn't have access to Fondarific fondant so I bought some Satin Ice at my local cake supply store. I had a lot of trouble with the Satin Ice fondant as it kept tearing and cracked in many places once applied to the cake. I smoothed the cracks out as much as possible with Crisco. I made my own gum paste using Nicholas Lodge's recipe. It was great! The Coach "C's" were hand painted on using color dust and edible markers. I bought Elisa's alligator skin mold from Marvelous Molds. Loved working with it! Fun cake! Thank you Elisa for your detailed instruction! I loved this class!
