The smoothness and line of the royal icing What advice would you give someone starting this project? make the royal icing is paddled well to remove all rough bits or lumps and it gives a nice sheen when it sets . dont put on too thick and I usually put about 5 layers very thin ones to get a smooth final coat start with the sides first then the top drying inbetween
