I did not trace or use a pattern for my piped flowers. I went ahead and piped with ultimate freedom, deciding I'd treat it like an improvised drawing. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Why not experiment with left overs? Instead of throwing away extra fondant, freeze it, and roll it out on top of yummy sugar cookies! It's less fuss than decorating a cake, yet, you get to practice your technical skills.
