I love how this cake has generally turned out. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Prepare fondant decorations - book spines, quilt squares etc.- ahead of time and store in airtight ziplock bags on flat and even surface. This will keep the fondant soft and you won't have to rush through the decorating process.
