Is that fondant or buttercream? How do you get such a smooth even covering?
Aemelia George answered:
I use ganache under my fondant, buttercream is used to layer and fill inside the tiers. I spend quite some time smoothing my fondant to achieve the sharp edges.

Thanks! I traced the design onto my cake first and then hand rolled all the swirls by making a thin sausage from black fondant and tapering/flattening the ends. The flowers and other details were piped on using a 0 tip. It's a time consuming cake, but very rewarding! All the best with your cake x
