Q&A with Just Get Baked

my grandson would love this. Might attempt it, looks great! He asked me today to make a Lebron James Cake for his birthday which is in 10 days. Any helpful hints?
Just Get Baked answered:
Hi! Thank you so much! This was basically a sheet cake that I covered in fondant. You can get pre-packaged colored fondant at Walmart or a local craft store like Michaels or Hobby Lobby and if you do, please download a coupon because it will be worth it (40-50% off) or if you have their apps. I had used a pebble rock stamp pad made for fondant from "Duff" at Michaels. You can find all sorts of stuff with neat patterns on it if you'd like. I've been known to use a bowl , cup or cheap plastic basket from the dollar store that had a neat pattern on it-just roll the fondant out like bread dough after you knead it, take the object (pref one that has been purchased just for this first and cleaned off from all dust or one that can be cleaned in the dishwasher to make sure nothing gets into the fondant) press it into the fondant enough to get the pattern you like and then it's ready to place on the cake! If you do this, it's good to do small sections-easier to not mess up the pattern.
