I guess the part that I'm most proud of is the fact that the birthday boy loved him. I know that at the young age of 2...you can easily make something to scare the crap out of them and I was terrified that that was what might happen-lol. This cake stood about 18" tall so getting everything to sit on there and be secure enough to travel-that was another part to be proud of was something that I had to really work out. I didn't want to carve out of the basketball too much, nor did I want to trim Elmo down any more than I did.- but it all worked out with a good squirt of icing to hold it together. Those that do crazy cakes and get a design where they can't use fondant to hold them in place, understand that the travel part is the scariest!...and heat :o) What advice would you give someone starting this project? Be happy with the smiles that you bring to their faces!
