It is my first carved cake What advice would you give someone starting this project? When carving a cake, start by carving less..it is better to trim little by little than to make an attachment ;) Feel free to ask. This cake serves up to 25 (Two 7x4 cakes) Do not toss cake trimmings, youll need them to make a heavy crumb coat. You need to crumble them and mix them with frosting to cover the whole cake. Chill it and then cover it again just with frosting so you can put your fondant. Place ears before de the cumb coat
