Q&A with Vanilla Crumbs

mom bear asked:
How did you do the paint splash look ? Love this cake.
Vanilla Crumbs answered:
I used watered down royal icing and a toothbrush. Its a matter of flicking the color onto the cake. Have a go, just use a box if the cake is small or line your kitchen in plastic!
mom bear asked:
Thank you ! How watered down does the icing have to be ? Like soup or thinker?
Vanilla Crumbs answered:
Sorry, have not been on for a while and seem to have missed this one. Watered down to a thick soup I guess. You want it to drip fun not be too liquid.

Elisabete Janeiro asked:
What colored colors did you use?? I can't find something as color as this, they get all very lihgt.. :
Vanilla Crumbs answered:
I use Wilton colours mainly - the leaf green, pink, golden yellow, orange, teal for the turquoise... but you have to add as much colour as you need to get the shade you want.
