Q&A with KellyN

Joshua John Russell asked:
Yay!!! I love it!! The pearls are so nice and clean!!
KellyN answered:
thanks Joshua, I really enjoyed your course. I especially loved your technique of using a pin to mark out the pattern and then piping over the dots. I'd always been a little nervous about piping straight onto the cake but this step whilst tedious made it a lot simpler. Do you have any tips for thickening out the lines? I tried to thicken parts of the C monogram and also the scroll work however they have ended up looking a little lumpy as the RI didn't incorporated with the existing line that was there if that makes sense. Did I just have the RI too thick? Many thanks again!
macdonaldb asked:
It is beautiful, you must have a real steady hand. I want to take the class but not very steady with my hands. I must ask about our flowers, what mold did you use they are so beautiful and I love the colors. Your piping is great.!!!!
KellyN answered:
thanks for your kind words, I still have a bit of practice to do but my hand was steadier than I thought it would be. It also helped to use Joshua's tips for the piping. I just used some 5 petal flower cutters for the flowers and sort of shaped them and put them together to make the flowers.
