Hi there! Sorry about the mix up with Day 2. Don’t worry, there will still be an opportunity to win each of our Startup Library classes!

I didn’t check the blog the last (first) two days, so I didn’t know about the giveaway in time to enter for Day 2. The sewing class is the one I would have been most interested in. And today, Day 3, is when I received the first email about the giveaway and entering.

Thank you for the opportunity.

This is wonderful, I would love to win. Sometimes you don’t think about some of the other classes you offer. What a great way to find out, I’m going to start looking for some of these. Thanks!!

I’ll be coming back here. Not just for the give away!

But, I looked around your blog and the contents are awesome.

How do we enter subsequent giveaways? It says the post will be updated daily at 10:00am Mountain time but it wasn’t updated yesterday or today. I’ve checked back multiple times throughout the day. Craftsy really needs to get their act together.

Great giveaway! How many times can we enter each day?

Reply
Kristin Doherty

Hi Mary! Each person’s entry will only be recorded once, so you only need to enter once a day. Good luck!

Its always exciting to learn something new or perfect skills! Thank you for the opportunity.

Sorry, but I’m not getting how this works. There are comments from 9/22, but the post is dated 9/24? I never saw the post for the drawing class, which I would have entered, and now the sewing class is still up when it should have changed at least two hours ago? What’s up?

Reply
Kristin Doherty

Hi there! Each day we are giving away a different class, and we are updating the post each day, which is why the date changes. If the latest giveaway isn’t up yet, try clearing your browser’s cache, and keep in mind that we are updating the posts each day around 10 a.m. MT.

I learned cake decorating back in the 80’s but have forgotten all that I learned. It would be wonderful to win this class.

Am I supposed to enter multiple times for my one choice of new skills I’d like to win? When I get to the drawing startup class it’s only allowing me to purchase it, now enter to win. I have entered once for this startup.

Reply
Kristin Doherty

Hi Lisa,
To be entered for each day’s prize, you’ll need to come back to this post to enter each day. Hope that helps!

In one of your comments you say “If the latest giveaway isn’t up yet, try clearing your browser’s cache”. As a former tech support manager, I have take exception to this overused suggestion, usually put forth in an offhand manner, with no warnings, by lazy or undertrained support staff. It is also an extremely selfish suggestion for any website to make, as it could cause more problems for the user on other websites they frequently visit.

Clearing the cache affects every website that has stored files, making their pages load more quickly, and in some cases deleting important information that can’t or shouldn’t be stored in cookies. Quite honestly, one contest on Craftsy is not worth losing the information of a dozen other, more important sites. Even the keeping the progress I’ve made in some of the flash games I play is more important to me than correcting the problems of your site.

I notice my last comment wasn’t posted, so I doubt you’ll let anyone see this one either, although they really should be warned before they clear their caches.

Thank you for saying that! Not that they’ll pay attention but some of the other readers might learn from your message.

I tried to enter the Day 5-Baking giveaway all day long, right up until 11:45 p.m. It never showed up, and now I can’t enter to win today. I can only purchase it. I really wanted to enter the Day 5-Baking giveaway. You obviously have some serious issues with posting each day’s giveaway when it should be posted. I don’t think it’s right That you publicize these giveaways when people are unable to enter them.

This is 2 days behind also. Today is the 29th so we should be on day 8 and not day 6. Still I love the opportunities that Craftsy gives us to win stuff every week for quite some time now.
And I am loving the TeaLeaf sweater although I haven’t gotten very far.

I am only receiving these every other day! Please repost this promotion so that we can enter daily!!
Thank you.

Today, Friday, September 29, at 1:00PM Central time zone, the blog page says “Day 7” and shows a blue scarf or table runner. I click on the link and I’m at Day 6, refresh the page and still day 6. I check everyday and have already missed day 2 and day 4. Why are the links not working properly? This is most frustrating from a site that I really like. Please address this issue as I see I’m not the only one having problems. In spite of all that, thanks for a mostly wonderful site.

Hi, I regularly get your blog info and often click to be part of a give-away. I’m wondering how we can see who has won the give-aways—is it posted some place?
Thanks.

Reply
Kristin Doherty

Hi Cathy,
Once this giveaway wraps up, we’ll update this post with the winners’ usernames. Hope that helps!

Hi, I’ve missed out on 2 or 3 days to enter, myself? But today and yesterday seem to be alright, so thanks for the opportunity for the days the site came thru ok! Not that I would do it, but I don’t know how to clear my browsers cache! Thanks again for the chance to win if my entries went thru successfully!

Reply
Kristin Doherty

Hi Chrissy,
So sorry about that! We understand a number of readers have had trouble seeing each day’s prize, so we are making all of them available for entry today. Good luck!

Reply
Jennifer Croggon

it is only showing day 5 of the daily contest

Reply
Kristin Doherty

Hi Jennifer,
Some readers have had trouble seeing each day’s update, which could be an issue with your browser’s cache. We’re making all the prizes available to enter for a few days so that everyone has a chance to win. Good luck!

This awesome giveaway was very frustrating and confusing. I was trying to enter everyday but some days I couldn’t get to the proper link; it took me to an old one. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to enter all the drawings! The everyday giveaway was fun when it worked, so I hope you can get the bugs worked out and try a similar giveaway sometime in the future. Thanks again!
