5 Beautiful Blazing Star Quilts Made by Quilters Like You

While we love every step of the quilting process, there's no denying that it's a thrill to see a finished project! Our 2017 Block of the Month journey has been a long one, but now that we're winding down, we wanted to share a few of the complete (or nearly complete) Blazing Star quilts from our members.

Great work to all of these quilters, and thanks for joining us!

First and foremost

Hanging Blazing Star Quilt

Lisa Probyn was one of the first to share her finished Blazing Star quilt. Seeing her finished quilt top was SO motivating!

Perfectly imperfect

Member Addicted to Craftsy (yep, her real username!) wrote a great message with her photo: "I am so proud to have finished it and it looks so nice. Not perfect but neither am I." It looks perfect to us!

Pretty in pink

Wow! This rosy take on the Blazing Star, by dmasl0 (who's a beginner!) is giving us heart eyes.

Mixing it up

Look close and you'll see that member jcousins put her own spin on this quilt: "After the first lesson... I made the rest of my star blocks from the very first quilt book I bought over 25 years ago." We just love the variety!

All laid out

Nothing is quite as satisfying as finally spreading your finished quilt out on the bed. Congrats, pretola5970220, on a job well done!

We want to see your Blazing Star!

Don't forget to upload photos of your finished quilt, and every step along the way.

I love this quilt. Only have the center star together. Sew machine had a melt down. Went in came back home and right back they’ve had it a month . They have a tech. Call today with brother to hopefully walk through a fix. I hope so not a cheap machine, a little age. But I want to finish add h this quilt. Besides the next 5 kits waiting to be gotten into. By the way the pink quilt is knock down beautiful.

I absolutely LOVE the one executed in ‘Pretty in Pink’. Gives the pattern a whole new, different look. I also like ‘Mixing it Up’, which is very much what I often like to do, change patterns around more to my experience and liking. All of these are spectacular and I congratulate all of the quilters. Thanks for sharing, thanks for inspiring.

They are all gorgeous, but I particularly LOVE the way the yellow background of quilt # 4 really makes the blue stars “pop”. GREAT color choices!

I enjoyed seeing all of these lovely quilts. It’s great to see how quilters make enough changes so the finished product reflects their uniqueness.
Are we still able to follow other crafters? I haven’t found that since the website was changed. I miss that. It really made me feel a part of a community of crafters.
