So, Angela, I’ve seen some ads and a very short video of you, but never watched a whole episode. I just watched the fruit slice quilt episode and wow! It was so fun just watching! I’ve been quilting for a while and it amazed me that I can still get some good tips now and then. I loved how you folded the fabric to cut your strips and the “leader” you use to avoid long threads on the ends. But by far, the best part was watching you machine quilt the top! It’s something I really want to do, so more of this kind of stuff would be great for me!

Not sure if I am supposed to leave a reply here or on UTube, but I will do both. As I said on the other reply, I love the colors you chose. Not always easy to find complete lines of fabric in a quilt store, or even on line if you don’t want to buy completed kits. The way you lay everything out is wonderful. It is very orderly( not a way I tend to think) so it’s a good thing for me to learn. I would also like to learn to hand sew for quilting. My questions are how do you keep the seams the same size? And how do you keep the seams straight? I thought this might be a good way for me to pass time when we are on the road for a while. Even a two hour driving trip could produce some progress. Also this is the first Craftsy video I have watched on UTube. If I were sent emails saying another video had been uploadedwithout having to go to safari first, I probably would have watched more. I did today.

I love love love watching your videos. I’m new to quilting but not new to sewing. I have had fat quarters that I have purchased for mor than 25 years! Ugh! That’s a long time. After loosing my son 2 years ago I started making t shirt quilts for my other 4 children. It became therapy for me. They aren’t my best work but as you say.. . Finished not perfect or something like that. I have since started watching your videos and I’m obsessed. That all I do when I’m in my sewing room. I turn on you tube and just let your videos play. I don’t always watch but I’m listening. Your humor is infectious! I’m laughing and nobody is in the room but me and your videos. I have yet to finish my first real quilt but I am following all of your instructions. Just love love love to quilt and listen to you. Thank you so much for your story about grandpa and all your tips and tricks. I will be watching as long as you are videoing.
Sincerely, Jill
