Fun & Festive Reindeer Cake Pops That Would Make Santa Proud

Wow everyone this party season with these adorable reindeer cake pops. They’d certainly brighten up a festive dessert table! You can even wrap them up individually and hand them out as festive party favors. Another cute idea is to use them as novelty place card holders — just nestle a name card into each reindeer’s adorable antlers.

Step 1:

To begin turning your cake pops into cute reindeers, dab a small amount of chocolate candy melt on the back of a red chocolate bean and place on the front and center of your cake pop to make a bright red shiny nose – just like Rudolf’s. We use the end of a cocktail stick to apply the melted chocolate to the cake pop. You can use edible glue if you like, but chocolate and candy melts set quicker.

Tip: You need to hold the ‘nose’ in place for a minute or so depending on how warm or humid your workspace is. To avoid any of the color from your red candy transferring onto your fingers or hand, try holding it in place with a small piece of greaseproof or parchment paper between your finger and the candy.

Step 2:

For the eyes roll two small balls of white fondant before shaping them into ovals and flattening them. Take your black edible pearls and attach them into the white fondant oval shapes with a little edible glue and a paintbrush. Stick both onto your cake pop next to each other above the red candy nose.

Step 3:

Finally add some cute antlers with your beige or tan brown colored pipe cleaners. To do this, twist them around the cake pop stick at the center of each pipe cleaner. Then bend and twist sections of them to create the separate sections of antler. You can also use tasty pretzels to create antlers for your reindeer.

If you’re bagging these little reindeers individually, you might use your pipe cleaner antlers to seal each bag. Add a little quirkiness by hanging a tiny ornament or bell off of one antler or even a festive bow.
