This time of year ensures that you never have to look far to find an inspiring subject to draw or paint – radiant flowers abound! From delicate buds to resplendent gardens, artists have always been captivated by the lavish color, texture and form of flowers. Now, we want to see how these striking subjects inspire you!

Craftsy#FlowerPower Drawing Contest

Whether you choose to depict a single bloom or a stunning bouquet, we want to see your unique take on a floral masterpiece!

How to enter:

Create a flower-inspired work and upload it to your project page with the title #FlowerPower Contest. Create your work in graphite, colored pencil, watercolor or any medium you prefer. We only request that you submit a handmade work of art, not a photo.

The prize:

A panel of Craftsy's art experts will select their favorite works to be featured on the Craftsy blog, including one lucky 1st place winner, who will be awarded a free Craftsy online drawing or painting class of his or her choice.

HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR ENTRY:

  • STEP 1: Click the Submit Project button below.
  • STEP 2: Log in to your Craftsy account (or create an account — it’s free and easy!)
  • STEP 3: Select a category for your project.
  • STEP 4: Title your project “#FlowerPower Contest” (IMPORTANT: PLEASE BE SURE TO PUT “#FlowerPower Contest” IN THE TITLE OF YOUR PROJECT. Then, we will know the project is a contest submission!)
  • STEP 5: Optional: If your piece was inspired by a Craftsy class, then select that class. If not, skip this step!
  • STEP 6: Add a bit of info about the project.
  • STEP 7: Upload your project photo (or photos). And, you’re done!
  • SUBMISSIONS DUE: By 11:59 MT September 28, 2014.
