What first brought you to Pinterest and made you want to join?
Ultimately, I'm a bit of a hoarder. I have digital graveyards full of bookmarks of things I loved and wanted to look at again. But browser bookmarks are a terrible way of collecting ideas- let alone curating ideas. Pinterest has been perfect for collecting ideas for future knitting or dyeing projects. Plus, being connected to other crafters has been wonderfully inspiring, since they can often lead you to discover things that you couldn't have found as easily.

Have you applied any of the tips from your Organization Board to your home?
Oh, I wish! One thing Pinterest doesn't do is create more time in the day... in fact, it sort of does the opposite!

What are some of your favorite pins from your Knits Board?
There is a gorgeous shawl that is displayed on some hooks, and I realize that I liked it so much I accidentally pinned it twice. Other favorites are these crazy carousel socks that I love to look at but would probably never make , and the super super chunky knitted blanket.

Where do you typically find your pins?
Very often through other pinners… and outside of that, through knitting and crafting blogs.

What excites you about pinning with Craftsy this week?
I'm excited about introducing Craftsy followers to maybe some new and beautiful handspun or handdyed yarns and things that can be made with them. I'm also keen to bring some stunning and interesting colourful pins to the board too!

When did you discover Pinterest and what made you sign up?
I discovered Pinterest while it was still in Beta and had to be invited. Probably around late Winter/early Spring in 2011. I signed up because I loved the idea of having a visual pinboard. I like bookmarks but rarely use them as they just become a big mess of links that I never return to! With Pinterest I was able to keep track of things I love in a more organized, visually appealing way.

Which of your pins have been the most popular? And did you expect that?

I am not sure what has been the most popular. If I had to guess I would say a DIY project or a food item. I am never sure what to expect when I pin something! There are items I pin that I think will do really well and flop and others I pin just for me and they do awesome. Guess it depends on who is seeing the pins at that moment.

How did you decide to start your Awesome Finds board?

Every once in a while I find an item that is just waiting for its own board! I needed a place to put, well, awesome finds. Things that may or may not be products or ideas or videos; pretty much anything as long as it is awesome.

Have you ever given a gift that you've pinned?

Yes, for sure! I have purchased many items that I have found on Pinterest. I often use it in place of Google. If I am searching for something I will check Pinterest first so I can repin it, if needed. So many awesome things are on the internet, Pinterest just kind of makes it all more accessible.

What excites you about pinning with Craftsy this week?

So many things! I love Craftsy! I have been making things since I was a young girl so I love what you offer on Craftsy and am thrilled to be a part of it.

Be sure to stay tuned for our featured pinners on Monday of next week. And in case you missed it, learn more about our guest pinners from last week.
